The exams to obtain the qualifications of Recreational Boat Skipper (PER) and Basic Navigation Skipper (PNB) are back in Lanzarote. This was published in the Official Gazette of the Canary Islands on December 26, 2023.

The tests return to the island after more than a year where the residents of Lanzarote have had to move to Gran Canaria. For this reason, at the end of 2023, the Lanzarote Nautical Academy expressed its discomfort.

Specifically, the registration to obtain one of the two titles on the island will remain open from March 11 to 20. While the exam will take place on April 20.

Those interested may register for only one exam to obtain a single qualification per call.

For each exam date, a qualifying board will be constituted, appointed by the Director General of Fisheries at the proposal of the Head of the Fisheries Structures Service, and will be made up of a president, a secretary and the number of members determined by the corresponding appointment resolution.
