Councilor Javier Camacho López has resigned from his position as councilor in the Yaiza City Council, “for strictly personal and family reasons”, where until now he held the delegated responsibility for the areas of Festivities and Protocol, Classified Activities and Public Shows, in addition to the fifth deputy mayoralty, since the beginning of the legislature just over a year ago.
The mayor of Yaiza, Óscar Noda, appreciates the work of Javier Camacho, whom he considers “a tireless, very charismatic person dedicated to public management and to our party Unidos por Yaiza (UPY)”.
In any case, the mayor understands Javier Camacho's reasons and his objective of starting new projects as a recognized businessman in the restaurant sector. “I think it is honest of him to prefer to leave political activity in the field of public management when he senses that he will not be able to dedicate as much time as he would like to his responsibility”, says the mayor. UPY governs in Yaiza with an absolute majority by virtue of the nine councilors obtained in the municipal elections of May 2023.
Javier Camacho states in his writing his gratitude to the residents of Yaiza “for the trust placed in the UPY candidacy”, also saying that he feels “proud to belong to this group and to have been able to actively participate in the management of municipal politics during all these last years, together with my magnificent colleagues and friends from the government team.”
Camacho also expresses his gratitude “to all the municipal employees with whom I have worked, for the collaboration and patience they have shown me, without whose help I would not have been able to perform the functions that have been entrusted to me.”
