The Cabildo de Lanzarote informs users that the Costa Teguise Recycling Center will be closed on Monday, May 19, and Tuesday, May 20, due to the construction and adaptation work on the access roundabout located in the vicinity of this facility.
The closure is in response to the need to guarantee the safety of users and staff during the development of the works, which are part of the mobility and accessibility improvement project deployed by the Cabildo in the area.
The Councilor for the Waste Area, Domingo Cejas, reminds that the rest of the island's Recycling Centers will remain open during their usual hours, so it is recommended that the residents of Costa Teguise and surroundings make use of any of these facilities: the one in Playa Blanca (Yaiza), on the Femés – Playa Blanca Road, next to the treatment plant; the one in Puerto del Carmen, on the Tías – Puerto del Carmen Road, opposite the golf course; the one in San Bartolomé, on the Arrecife – Yaiza Road, kilometer point 5, detour towards Horinsa and Lanzagrava; and the one in Arrecife, in the Maneje neighborhood.
The Recycling Centers are open from Monday to Saturday from 08:00 to 18:00 hours, and on Sundays and holidays from 09:00 to 14:00 hours. In addition, it is reminded that these services are free for all citizens.
The Cabildo appreciates the collaboration of the population in the face of this necessary action, which will contribute to a better road infrastructure and a safer environment for all when recycling our waste.
