A month after taking the first steps for the construction of a planetary museum, the educational community of the CEO of Argana closed this Friday its Astroceo project with the inauguration of the museum, which has an audio guide prepared by the students.
The launch of this project has allowed students in the five-year-old Infant cycle and First Grade of Primary school of the aforementioned educational center to explore the Solar System in a didactic way, responding to students' approaches to the formation, location, age and general aspects of our planetary system.
The initiative has the support of the Institute of Astrophysics of the Canary Islands, the CEP of Lanzarote and the César Manrique Foundation. Likewise, throughout this month, activities have been developed inside and outside the school and today, Friday, the mayor of Arrecife, Eva de Anta and the Councilor for Education, Ascensión Toledo Hernández, accompanied by the capital city councilors Rafael Juan González, Samuel Martín, Jacobo Lemes, Carmen Delgado and Inodelvia Torres, became exceptional visitors to a planetary museum, which also has an audio guide prepared by the students.
The municipal officials congratulated the work of both the teachers and the management of the educational center, the students and the parents themselves, for launching an initiative that promotes learning through participation and creativity.
During the next few days, the doors of the museum will remain open for the enjoyment of the entire educational community of the center itself.
