The Lanzarote Business Confederation (CEL) and representatives of the Popular Party at the island and regional level held a meeting this Monday, May 15, with the aim of "sharing the main business and social needs of the Island and seeking the most appropriate solutions for the sector", reports the business confederation.
The meeting was attended by the president of the CEL, Francisco Martínez; the vice president, Rafael Morales; the general secretary, Beatriz Salazar, as well as other members of the integrated organizations, and the president of the PP in the Canary Islands and candidate for the Presidency of the Canary Islands, Manuel Domínguez; the mayor of Arrecife, Astrid Pérez, and the candidate for the Presidency of the Cabildo, Jacobo Medina, among others.
During the meeting, Francisco Martínez conveyed "the fundamental requests of the island's business fabric" and highlighted some of the "difficulties faced by companies and entrepreneurs in Lanzarote", emphasizing the "importance of public-private cooperation and institutional support for the maintenance and growth of this sector so necessary in island society", they say.
Similarly, the president of the PP in the Canary Islands, Manuel Domínguez, thanked "the Confederation for the welcome" and "conveyed to those present the proposals and planned projects of the popular group to contribute to the expansion of the business sector and its growth as a fundamental axis within the economy and society of Lanzarote", he argues.
Finally, Domínguez acknowledged the work of the CEL in its defense and support of small and medium-sized entrepreneurs in the Islands, a primary group in the sustenance of Lanzarote and all of the Canary Islands, he concludes.
