The PSOE of Teguise approved this Monday in local assembly the list proposal with which it will compete in the next elections of May 2023 to the City Council of Teguise, putting an end to the municipal phase of the elaboration of candidatures. "This list of women and men - said the head of the list, Marcos Bergaz - comes with many kilometers in the backpack and a government program in which all citizens, without distinction, will be represented. We all count."

"In the last throes of an exhausted government, that of the Canarian Coalition, which has been at the head of the City Council for 14 years, it is time for political alternation - said Bergaz -, with a new score and young, prepared and eager interpreters to do more things for the good of Teguise and La Graciosa."

During his speech to the Assembly colleagues, the socialist leader appealed to "excite all citizens called to the polls, with special mention to those who stayed at home in 2019 - more than 6000 citizens abstained in the elections - and to the many young people who will vote for the first time, because politics - Bergaz recalled - is an issue that affects everyone, and we tell them that Teguise cannot do without their participation."

In order to "effectively transform the management of all into a common cause", Bergaz announced the "incorporation of new blood in the candidacy that has found in the Socialist Team the vehicle to propose and do politics in a positive way. These new profiles empathize with the women and men who have served as an alternative to CC in the current mandate, forming a list that combines youth, experience and, most importantly, the desire and preparation to better manage Teguise and La Graciosa."

The list, led by Marcos Bergaz, includes names such as Jenifer Galán, Benito Rodríguez, Judith Fontes, Tanaisú Pérez, Ángela Cañavera, David Asorey, Sabina Vizcaíno, Iván Morales, Delia Hernández, Jaime Guerra, Noelia Umpierrez, Orlando Duque, Isabel Martin, Matías García Guadalupe, Rocío Arredondo, Rubén Cejudo, María Ángeles Toledo, Benjamín Machín, Mari Nieves Duque, Jesús García, Blanca López or Luis Bonilla.

Once the "team of change" has been confirmed by the socialist militants of Teguise, Marcos Bergaz appealed "to the enormous responsibility that lies ahead from May onwards: to govern the municipality well, to make things easier for citizens and to recover the leadership of Teguise".

In this way, the local assembly sealed the list of names, corresponding then to the Island Committee of the PSOE of Lanzarote the proclamation of the final lists and subsequent ratification by the regional and federal bodies of the party.
