The president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, María Dolores Corujo, has announced that the works on the LZ-207 road, better known as the Tabayesco road, which has remained closed to traffic for more than two years due to landslides caused by rain, are now in public tender through a simplified open procedure.

"This important action has a tender budget of more than 577,000 euros, which will be co-financed by the first Corporation and the Fdcan Funds," details Corujo, who advances that "the works will have an execution period of six months."

The work will consist of the repair of the slopes and walls in three specific sections of the road that connects the northern towns of Arrieta and Temisa. The Councilor for Public Works, Jacobo Medina, explains that "action will be taken exactly on the section between kilometer points 4+910 and 5+380, with the aim of reopening traffic in the area and guaranteeing access to both residents and owners of agricultural land."

Among the planned actions, the demolition, sanitation and replacement of the complete pavement in the most deteriorated areas stand out, as well as the extension of a wearing course. Likewise, two drainage works will also be carried out with reinforced concrete pipes and the construction of two types of walls.

Jacobo Medina points out that "during the works, the agricultural water supply pipe to the surrounding farms will also be replaced."

Companies interested in this tender can submit their offers until June 29 and access all the documentation on the State Procurement Platform.
