The Cabildo of Lanzarote has put out to tender the service for the comprehensive care of the Network of Minors under the guardianship of the first institution for 4.6 million euros per year and a period of two years, extendable for another two.
The estimated value of the contract, which guarantees the care, social and educational coverage of the 50 places in the César Manrique, Arrecife, Tinajo and Timanfaya centers, amounts to 12,918,557.70 euros.
The contract establishes a single lot "to offer greater efficiency and coordination of services and, at the same time, facilitate the functional mobility of personnel in situations of need", as explained by the institution.
The president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, María Dolores Corujo, stresses the importance of "providing the best conditions so that minors in situations of abandonment and vulnerability can develop their personal, emotional, intellectual and affective learning and growth in a warm and safe climate."
In this line, the Minister of Social Welfare Isabel Martín, explains that "the service provides adequate attention to the needs of each minor, assuming responsibility for their integral development and guaranteeing their access to social resources under the same conditions as any boy or girl of their age." "We provide them with knowledge and educational skills and transmit affection, values and appropriate ways of acting so that they can function with full autonomy and independence in the future," she adds.
