The Cabildo of Lanzarote has released this Thursday a "clarification note" to the statement it had sent the previous day about the new lawsuit that the president, Pedro San Ginés, is facing, after the company alluded to publicly demanded a rectification.
In the first statement, the Cabildo stated that the lawsuit had been filed by Aloe Plus Lanzarote and linked that complaint to the tender for the management of the Mala cochineal center, stating that that company had submitted a bid and was not awarded the contract.
"Indeed, 'Aloe Plus Lanzarote' was not the well-known brand with which they presented themselves to the contest, but under the signature of the same group, 'Cosmética del Atlántico, S.L.'", the institution now points out, after the company came out to deny the Cabildo's statement.
In this regard, the Island Corporation adds that the administrator of Cosmética del Atlántico, S.L "is the same person in charge and manager as that of the aforementioned company 'Aloe Plus Lanzarote', as they themselves state in their public communications and appearances in the media and social networks".
In addition to Pedro San Ginés, the lawsuit is also directed against Councilor Antonio Morales, and both have already been summoned to testify as defendants. As for the content of the lawsuit, it would not focus on the award of the contest itself - which is what San Ginés has referred to in his public statements on the subject - but on alleged illegalities in the implementation of that center.
