The Cabildo de Lanzarote has concluded the drafting of the project to improve the LZ-405 road, which connects the towns of El Mojón and Teseguite.

“The first step has already been completed, and we will try to speed up the procedures as much as possible so that the work can be undertaken”, says the vice president and councilor for Public Works, Jacobo Medina, who assures that the intervention will be put out to tender “in the next weeks”.

The work has a budget of "almost 800,000 euros", and will consist of the "renovation" of the asphalt surface, the "reconstruction of walls" and the "renewal of signage" both horizontal and vertical.

The intervention in the municipality of Teguise will be financed through the 'Lanzarote Strategy 2016-2025' of the Canary Islands Development Funds (FDCAN), and is scheduled to be completed in April.

“We are thus responding to a historical demand from the towns of Teguise and El Mojón, since they will soon have a completely remodeled, modern and accessible road”, concludes Medina.
