The Cabildo definitively approves two competitive sports grants

The Cabildo of Lanzarote approved, in the Governing Council this Monday, the definitive award of competitive grant subsidies intended for the expenses of organizing official and unofficial competitions held in Lanzarote and La Graciosa; and those related to the promotion and encouragement of traditional sports.

The Minister of Physical Activity and Sports, Juan Monzón, assured, "We continue working so that both athletes and clubs from Lanzarote and La Graciosa have funds that will facilitate their continued competition." "The Island Sports Service will always remain on the side of sports in the islands, supporting all those involved as needed," he addedSpecifically, the Governing Council definitively approved, on the one hand, the subsidy for **promotion and encouragement of indigenous and traditional sports** which has an amount that rises to 69,913.58 euros for line 1; and 73,000 euros for line 2.Likewise, the subsidy for the **expenses of organizing official and unofficial competitions** held in Lanzarote and La Graciosa was also positively and definitively approved, with 42,462.22 euros allocated to line 1; 20,690.89 euros to line 2; and 14,591 euros to line 3."In the coming days, we will proceed with the final approval of the remaining competitive grants, thus complying with the schedule we had established," the counselor concluded
