The Cabildo allocates 2.5 million to 7 lines of competitive subsidies for sports

The Governing Council of the Cabildo of Lanzarote approved this Monday seven lines of subsidies of competitive concurrence for the Island Sports Service, with an amount that amounts to 2,549,000 million euros

“It is expected that it will be published in the Official Gazette of the Province on Wednesday, so that from there clubs and athletes can formally submit their applications,” says the Minister of Sports, Juan Monzón, who greatly appreciates the area “the incessant work to be able to bring these subsidies forward.” 

Specifically, the different lines of subsidies are divided into sports schools (360,000 euros); Football and Futsal arbitrations (80,000 euros) high competition athletes (60,000 euros); travel with two different sublines of 400,000 and 300,000; Native Sports with three sublines of 93,000, 52,000 and 24,000 euros; Sports Events with two sublines of 640,000 and 400,000 euros; and finally a line of Organization expenses that is divided into three sublines of 60,000, 62,000 and 18,000 euros. 

It should be remembered that there is still an eighth line of subsidy by competitive concurrence for sports campuses and camps, which will have an amount of 40,000 euros, which is expected to be resolved in a few days. 

“We continue to bet on the promotion of island sports, and we are aware that these aids are a great help so that clubs and athletes can continue with the different sports projects,” concluded Monzón.
