The Cabildo of Lanzarote takes a new step in the process of Extraordinary Public Employment Offer corresponding to the year 2022, in accordance with the deadlines established by law to tackle temporary employment in the public administration.
The Institution chaired by María Dolores Corujo has published this Friday, December 23, in the Official Gazette of the Province of Las Palmas (BOLP) the first announcements that include the specific bases and calls with a breakdown of places for each of the various professional categories, the specific requirements associated with each of them and, in particular, the deadline for submitting applications to participate in these extraordinary processes open to current vacancies.
María Dolores Corujo has clarified that the offer affects both labor and civil servant personnel. “The objective of the same is to achieve the stabilization of a total of 125 places, because our objective is to reduce structural temporality below 8%, also attending to the requirements established by current legislation”, argues the island's leader.
“On the other hand”, adds the president, “this stabilization process will also have an impact on a more efficient response to the needs of citizens since we guarantee a better provision of public services of insular competence, which are those that concern us as an Institution”.
Reduction of temporality
Regarding the reduction of temporality, the Councilor for Human Resources of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Isabel Martín, recalled that this process is governed by the urgent measures for the reduction of temporality in public employment, whose stabilization is subject to specific legislative provisions, a development that allows “guaranteeing compliance with the principles of free competition, equality, merit and capacity through public and open selection processes such as this one, which generally consist of the merit-based competition system”, she explained.
And in terms of the preparation deadlines to access these calls from the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Isabel Martín reassures future applicants stating that the bases achieve “an adequate period for the preparation of applicants, as well as for the assessment of merits and, where appropriate, for the realization of tests since they cannot be started before April 30, 2023”.
In the two announcements published this Friday in the BOLP, and in the other two that will be published in the coming days, the specific bases of all the vacant positions called, their denomination and code are listed.
