The general secretary of the PSOE of Lanzarote and deputy in Congress, María Dolores Corujo, has reported that from this Monday, June 17, more than 20,000 young people from the Canary Islands who turn 18 in 2024 will be able to benefit from the Cultural Bonus to have a prepaid card with 400 euros that they can allocate to cultural products in physical format, digital products and performing arts. Likewise, all those born between 1994 and 2006 will also be able to access a 90% discount on their train and bus tickets and 50% on the Interrail from July 1 to September 30 to travel through Spain and Europe.

In a press release, Corujo has encouraged young people to "take advantage of this opportunity that the Government of Spain offers them again and that seeks to make culture more accessible and facilitate travel so that young people can travel, expand the possibilities in their vacations or travel to the destinations they consider appropriate, throughout the summer with affordable prices." The deputy and general secretary of the socialists in Lanzarote has pointed out that this measure is also "a way to promote the use of collective public transport to discover Spain or Europe in a sustainable and efficient way."

Likewise, she has recalled that from this Monday, June 17, young people who wish to do so may request it, carrying out the application procedure on the page www.bonoculturajoven.gob.es and identifying themselves digitally through Cl@ve with basic registration, which can be requested and obtained by video call, Cl@ve with advanced registration in person and for those who have not yet turned 18, or the Digital Certificate.

Corujo recalled the excellent reception that these measures had in their previous edition and that in the case of the Youth Summer, the measures of the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility facilitated more than four million trips from June 15 to September 15 and 16,134 young people opted for the use of Interrail in Europe.
