The City Council, presided over by Óscar Noda, has published this Thursday on the Public Sector Procurement Platform the technical and administrative specifications to tender the drafting of the execution project for the construction of the Day Center in Playa Blanca with a base budget of 64,739.07 euros and a term of four months. “This contract will allow us to have the necessary technical document to promote the construction of this socio-health infrastructure so necessary and demanded in the municipality”, says the mayor.
The file contemplates all the necessary works for the elaboration of the project, among them, topographic survey, geotechnical study, technical accreditations and sectorial authorizations, drafting of technical and urbanization documents, as well as coordination with competent administrations. The drafting of the project is subsidized by the Social Welfare Area of the Cabildo of Lanzarote.
Noda explains that this is “a key step” to provide the municipality with this socio-health infrastructure aimed at serving people in situations of dependency, since “once we have this technical project we will be able to request the execution of the work from the Government of the Canary Islands”.
The future Playa Blanca Day Center will temporarily or permanently serve elderly or disabled people, offering services such as medical care, occupational therapy, rehabilitation and family respite stays, as contemplated in the Dependency Law.
“There are many families in Yaiza who demand this service, which is responsible for alleviating the burden on caregivers and improving the quality of life of users, and we will do everything in our power to make it a reality in the shortest possible time”, concludes the southern leader. Interested companies may submit their proposals until August 8.
