The Teguise City Council announces, starting this Tuesday, February 9, a new Employment Plan for the execution of the different municipal Employment Plans and other labor insertion measures. The Official Gazette of Las Palmas includes this Wednesday in its publication, the regulatory bases for the hiring of 41 workers from the Teguise City Council, whose implementation results in collaboration with the rest of the public administrations in relation to the subsidy from the Canarian Employment Service.

"Teguise will start, presumably in the month of March or at the latest in April, a new phase of the Teguise en Acción 2016 project, hiring 41 people from the municipality who for six months will return to the labor market to perform public services, and for which the City Council requested to take advantage of the subsidy according to the collaboration agreement between the Canarian Employment Service and the Canarian Federation of Municipalities for the development of useful tasks and social reintegration", explained the head of the area, Myriam Jorge, who also recalled that the total costs of the unemployed labor to be hired amount to 287,628 euros, of which 150,183 euros correspond to the City Council's own financing and 137,445 to the subsidy requested.

For the execution of the aforementioned project, it will be necessary to hire temporary labor personnel of various trades for the exercise of functions in essential public services. In this sense, the mayor of Teguise, Oswaldo Betancort, in use of the powers conferred upon him, has resolved to approve the administrative procedures for the selection of 41 public employees to cover the following jobs: 2 home assistants, 2 community service monitors, 2 orderlies, 13 cleaning laborers, 6 1st class bricklayers, 1 2nd class welder, 3 administrative assistants, 6 construction laborers and 6 2nd class painters.
