The Teguise City Council has proceeded with the modification of several stone walls that the Consistory had begun to build several months ago in Costa Teguise, as confirmed to La Voz by Eugenio Robayna, councilor for Traffic and Mobility.

As you may recall, some residents of the area criticized these works because the stone walls obstructed the views towards the sea in Playa Bastián.

The councilor explained that "the height stipulated in the project had to be completed, but then the City Council considered that it had to be lowered because the visibility affected the residents."

As La Voz already published, these were two stone structures two and a half meters high in one of the green areas of this part of the tourist town, occupying a surface area of 165 square meters.

For its part, the Department of Urban Planning and Beaches of the Teguise City Council, headed by Rita Hernández, confirmed to La Voz in March that it is "a project for the renovation and improvement of the paths in Costa Teguise" and assured that these works "have a favorable report and license, it is on public domain land."
