Speed in towns, sidewalks, dogs, and lighting are the main complaints of residents in Teguise

Most of the complaints from Teguise residents focus on requesting that speed be reduced in the towns, domestic animals be controlled, the number of light points be increased, and that all sidewalks have access without a lowered step. This is what councilor Marisol Armas conveys, after two months since the Citizen Participation mailbox was launched to facilitate communication between residents and the City Council.

The councilor points out that "this information is very important because it indicates the priority that the City Council should have when carrying out actions." "Among others, we have already raised the need to increase the number of speed bumps on different roads in the municipality; we have also asked the Local Police to apply the ordinance on pet ownership, so that they warn or sanction owners because it is forbidden to have animals loose, and of course the owners have to take care of removing excrement," she adds.

People who want to use this citizen tool can contact this service through the phone number 928 07 21 78 or by email at [email protected]. This service aims to be part of the municipal planning and address specific demands as quickly as possible, according to the City Council.

The councilor invites residents to see the City Council as "help to improve the quality of life of residents and a place where their doubts are answered, claims are processed, or they are directed to where to make their requests."
