San Bartolomé resolves the incidents caused in Playa Honda

The San Bartolomé City Council reports the completion of the repair works on the Playa Honda wall for which, from the City Council, "attending to the security needs of the citizens", an emergency action was decreed to repair the damage in the areas affected by the wind and waves that the island of Lanzarote experienced on April 9.

Some inclement weather that caused the breakage of a part of the wall in the Loro Verde area and the surroundings of Mesana street, for which the City Council has managed, in two months, to return Playa Honda to normal, restore pedestrian traffic and resume the visual aesthetics of the site.

The mayor of San Bartolomé, Isidro Pérez, has pointed out the importance of this emergency action to repair the areas affected by the storm that especially affected Playa Honda “in an unexpected incident for which we acted quickly, since our priority is to guarantee the safety of the neighbors”.

In this regard, Isidro Pérez has “thanked the work carried out by the Councilor for Public Services, Raúl de León, and the Councilor for Urban Planning, Marlene Romero, “who from the same day that the wall was affected, began to work to carry out this emergency procedure and respond safely and quickly to give guarantees to the municipality and minimize and resolve the effects as soon as possible.”
