The San Bartolomé City Council has published the tender for the basic and execution project for the renovation of the Sociocultural Center and the sports court of Güime, with a base budget of 869,903.97 euros, including IGIC.

The action contemplates a comprehensive intervention in these municipal facilities, with the aim of improving their accessibility conditions, modernizing the interior and exterior spaces, and reinforcing their functionality as a meeting point for coexistence, social activity, and sports practice.

The mayor of San Bartolomé, Isidro Pérez, highlights the importance of this intervention to continue improving the municipality's public facilities and respond to the needs of the citizens. “The Güime Sociocultural Center is an important space for the life of the town. With this renovation, we want to have more accessible, comfortable facilities prepared to host neighborhood, cultural, and sports activities, encouraging citizens to have quality public spaces to meet, share, and participate.”

Among the main actions planned are the improvement of accesses and ramps, the creation of accessible routes, and the installation of an elevator between floors, as well as a lift that will facilitate access to the stage. These interventions will allow progress towards more inclusive facilities adapted to the needs of users.

The project also includes the relocation and renovation of the cafeteria, which will have a kitchen, independent restrooms, and an outdoor terrace, as well as the adaptation of the multipurpose rooms and the renovation of pavements, carpentry, finishes, and various installations, including those for sanitation, plumbing, electricity, and lighting.

For his part, the Councilor for Public Works, Raúl de León, emphasizes the scope of the planned works and the improvement they will represent for the entire municipal facility. “This is an action that goes beyond an aesthetic renovation. We are going to intervene in fundamental aspects such as accessibility, interior installations, and the organization of spaces, in addition to improving the outdoor sports areas so that they can be used in better conditions and with greater guarantees of functionality.”

In the sports field, the intervention includes the reorganization of the outdoor space, the improvement of the ball courts and the multi-sport court, the replacement of pavements and fences, as well as the installation of a metal roof and dividing lattices. The project also incorporates rest areas, gardening, and urban furniture to improve the environment and encourage its use by residents.

The City Council considers this reform a relevant action to continue modernizing municipal infrastructures and provide Güime with more accessible and adequate spaces for the development of social, cultural, and sports activities.

The tender is processed through an open procedure and the submission of bids can be made electronically through the Public Sector Contracting Platform until November 16, 2026, at 11:59 PM.
