The emblematic Casa Museo Mayor Guerra, in San Bartolomé, was the setting this past weekend for the V Edition of Yes, I do, Lanzarote, the most important wedding, communion and celebration fair on the island. With the participation of more than 30 companies in the sector, the event confirmed the growing demand and consolidation of Lanzarote and La Graciosa as preferred destinations for weddings and special events.
The fair featured a varied program of activities, from exhibitions and parades to presentations by experts in San Bartolomé, which culminated in a spectacular children's parade with fashion proposals from Boutique Elvira and the communion collection by Oswaldo Machín, whose act was presented by Rocío Garrigós, who was in charge of conducting the catwalk.
A day in which the prizes corresponding to the Valentine's Day campaign, organized by the Commerce area of the San Bartolomé City Council, were also awarded.
In this contest, which sought to boost the commercial areas of the municipality, participants shared photographs on Instagram under the theme of love. The lucky people, chosen by popular vote, were Nazaret Villar, with 678 "likes", who won the first prize awarded with a romantic weekend in a rural hotel in the municipality.
The second prize went to Marcos Betancort, with 386 "likes", who obtained a brunch for two people at the "La Sede" Wine Bar in Playa Honda.
Both the mayor of San Bartolomé, Isidro Pérez, and the Councilor for Commerce, Alma González, presented these gifts to the lucky people of this campaign, where it is worth highlighting the positive impact of this type of initiative among local businesses.
"The revitalization of the commercial areas of San Bartolomé is a priority of the municipality in order to strengthen the business network, SMEs and job creation in a creative and participatory way," they declare from the Consistory.
After the awards ceremony, the winners, municipal representatives and small models took the official photo of the event. The day concluded with the animation of DJ Kintaro, who put the finishing touch to this successful edition of Yes, I do, Lanzarote 2025.
The fair, promoted by the Ajei Association of Commerce and Entrepreneurs (A.C.E.A.), the San Bartolomé City Council, the Cabildo de Lanzarote and the Art, Culture and Tourism Centers of Lanzarote, has established itself as a key event in the island calendar for professionals and future clients of the wedding and celebration sector.
