The San Bartolomé City Council allocates a total of 290.00 euros for transport and accommodation aid for the 2022-2023 academic year for students in the municipality. The deadline to submit applications for these grants will be open from this Tuesday, March 21, and will be open until May 4.
The mayor, Isidro Pérez, highlights that “from the Consortium we fulfill the commitment to support families with students among their members in these moments in which there may be greater difficulties”.
For her part, councilor Alma María González, explains that both subsidies will be compatible with each other, so “students who meet the required requirements may receive up to 1,000 euros in subsidies. In addition, these grants are also compatible with other types of aid from public or private organizations”.
Two lines of aid are established for the call, the first dedicated to covering transport and for official studies outside of Lanzarote, and the second for accommodation expenses.
The call, published in the BOP of Las Palmas No. 34, of March 20, 2023, will remain open until May 4. The application and documentation may be submitted through the General Registry of the City Council in San Bartolomé (Plaza León y Castillo s/n) or in the Municipal Offices of Playa Honda (C/ Merlín s/n), from 08:00 to 13:00 hours, or through the electronic headquarters.
