After the successful experience of last year, the Department of Festivities of the Arrecife City Council, led by Deputy Mayor Echedey Eugenio, will once again hold a contest to award the seven traditional stalls that the San Ginés festivities, patron saint of the city, will have, which will be held from August 14 to 25.

The contest will take place this Saturday the 19th at La Recova Municipal de Arrecife from 12 to 2:30 p.m. The ten registered contestants will have to prepare a menu with a minimum of five Canarian food dishes that they will be required to offer on their menus if they win. In addition, they must bring a dish already prepared, and cook and present another one before the jury for tasting and scoring.

Echedey Eugenio encourages people to attend La Recova this Saturday to witness this original selection process "with which the Department of Festivities wants to enhance Canarian gastronomy as a fundamental piece in the development of the city's festivities", and through which the people authorized to install these stalls will be decided, the only ones that will have chairs and tables, at the height of the maritime avenue.

On the other hand, the Department of Festivities of Arrecife, directed by Echedey Eugenio, has published the bases and requests for the awarding of the remaining food and beverage stalls that will open during the celebration of the festivities and that will be located in three different areas: the pedestrian crossing of the Charco de San Ginés -Avenida César Manrique-, the José Ramírez Cerdá Park and Avenida Fred Olsen, in front of Playa del Reducto.
