The San Bartolomé City Council celebrated this Wednesday, in the courtyard of the Casa Mayor Guerra, the award ceremony of medals of recognition for 20, 25 and 35 years of active service to nine local police officers of the municipality.
The mayor of San Bartolomé, Isidro Pérez Martín, was in charge of presenting these awards to the professional and meritorious career of the decorated agents for their permanence in the service in an institutional act full of gratitude and respect to the Local Police force.
In the category of permanence in active service for twenty years, the local police officers Ángel Jesús Pérez Caraballo, José Miguel Placeres Cabrera, Daniel Gutiérrez Lemes, Leandro Manuel Gutiérrez López, Jorge Luis Armas Tejera, Salvador Feo Moreno and Moisés Martín Rodríguez have been distinguished. The distinctive cross of permanence in active service for twenty-five years has been awarded to Demetrio Manuel González Tabares, while the distinctive plaque for thirty-five years as a Local Police officer of San Bartolomé was presented to Mario Perdomo Brito.
For the mayor of San Bartolomé, Isidro Pérez Martín, "The recognitions they receive today are much more than a badge for their 20, 25 or 35 years of service. Time, many times, does not say everything about certain professions. These crosses and plaques that are awarded contain experiences and moments delivered with vocation, sacrifice and humanity to the residents of San Bartolomé, on many occasions in exceptionally difficult circumstances. Congratulations to all the distinguished and thank you for everything you have given to this municipality and its citizens," concludes Pérez.
