The municipal spokesperson for the PP in San Bartolomé, Jeziel Martín, is pleased that the municipal plenary has unanimously approved the motion presented by his party for the creation of a Municipal Art Center in which artists and associations will have a key role in defining its uses, spaces and form of management.
“We believe that a center of these characteristics has a perfect fit in a municipality like ours, which treasures a great cultural background in many disciplines such as traditional music or theater, and we believe that it is time to take a step further by opening the way also to modernity and other artistic manifestations”, says Jeziel, who explains that the idea is to have "not only an exhibition space but also a training space, through workshops, and a dissemination space, with conferences and carefully curated cultural events."
“It would be a place where local novice, emerging or established artists could exhibit their works and share their work with the community and the public in general”, argue from the PP, “in the same way that the workshops and activities would allow children and adolescents to explore their creativity, develop artistic skills and discover new forms of expression."
Jeziel Martín has also highlighted the benefits and synergies that this center would cause in the local economy from the point of view of tourism and local commerce.
