El Partido Popular requests that the temporary intervention of the Canal Gestión service be left on the table at the extraordinary assembly of the Consorcio del Agua that will be held this Monday, April 20.
The popular ones defend the need to "act with the utmost rigor, responsibility and legal certainty before any decision that is going to be adopted referred to the water supply service on the island, currently managed through Canal Gestión".
In this regard, the PP declares itself in favor of the termination of the contract for the concession of the service that is brought for approval in the next General Assembly of the Water Consortium (Point 1 of the Agenda), although it has requested that point 2 be left on the table, referring to the initiation of the file related to “temporary intervention measure of the public service”, in order to have sufficient time to conveniently analyze all reports and determine a position on the matter.
Finally, from the political party they point out that "we are talking about an essential service and of enormous sensitivity for the island, which is why any decision must be adopted with all guarantees and with the prior analysis and study that a measure of this magnitude requires".
