The Cabildo of Lanzarote informs that this Wednesday, June 25, from 12:00 noon, the period for booking places in the Papagayo Camping Area, located in the natural environment of Los Ajaches, in the municipality of Yaiza, will open.
This opening is accompanied by the introduction of new functions in the online reservation system, which significantly improves the user experience. All reservations must be made through the official website of the Camping Area, where campers can, for example, choose or modify the assigned plot according to their specific preferences or needs.
From the Camping Area, which is managed by the counselor Samuel Martín, it is reminded that it is mandatory to register all guests in advance, through a prior check-in that can be easily done through Acampada Papagayo.
Likewise, the formalization of the reservation implies the acceptance of the rules of coexistence, which must be strictly followed to preserve harmony between campers and ensure the protection of the natural environment.
Opening on July 4
After a series of improvement actions, the Papagayo Camping Area will open its doors on July 4 and will remain operational throughout the summer, until September 30.
The president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Oswaldo Betancort, has recalled that the improvement interventions carried out this year in the facilities (showers, energy system, water tank, accesses, etc.) represent an investment that not only guarantees the maintenance of the facilities, but also bets on the modernization and sustainability of the campsite. "We want families and campers to enjoy this natural environment with the best possible conditions," he said.
For his part, Samuel Martín invites citizens to plan their stay in advance in one of the most emblematic natural spaces on the island, enjoying a privileged environment with all the guarantees of quality and safety.
Equipped with all the necessary services, the Lanzarote Camping Area has about 250 plots, most of them for caravans, motorhomes and campers. There are 32 places for small houses.
