The Minister of Public Works, Housing and Mobility, Pablo Rodríguez, said this Thursday that the forecast is that at the beginning of 2026 the project for the renovation and improvement of the port of Caleta de Sebo, in La Graciosa, will be tendered.
In response to the deputy of the Socialist group Marcos Bergaz, the councilor indicated in a parliamentary commission that the project has a budget of seven million euros, and added that in a few weeks the simplified environmental declaration will be requested, and, once obtained, the project will be adapted for its tender.
The simplified environmental declaration may take six months, or a year, and once it is available, the project will be adapted to it, so the forecast is to tender at the beginning of next year, said Pablo Rodríguez.
The project includes actions such as building four fixed structures for shelter and mooring to provide security, remodeling the floating pontoon mooring system, building a floating dock, carrying out auxiliary works on the land esplanade, and installing clean energy.
The deputy of the Socialist group Marcos Bergaz insisted that this is a necessary work in an installation that is the only entry and exit point for citizens, which last year was used by some 600,000 people.
