Nueva Canarias has closed an electoral agreement with the new formation that emerged in the Yaiza City Council, which includes the mayor herself, Gladys Acuña, as well as those who until recently were councilors of NC and the PP councilor Roque Herrera. The agreement, which will be presented this Friday, would mean that Unidos por Yaiza would support Nueva Canarias in the elections to the Cabildo of Lanzarote and the Parliament of the Canary Islands.

In addition, according to party sources, Acuña will be the one to head the NC list to Parliament for Lanzarote. The details of the final agreement will be made public at that press conference, which will be attended by the national president of NC, Román Rodríguez, and the president of UPY, Gladys Acuña. Also present will be the national Secretary of Organization of NC, Carmelo Ramírez, and the island president of the party, Alejandro Díaz.

At the event, which will be held at the Diamar hotel, the agreements reached with the Neighborhood Party for the Progress of San Bartolomé and with the Municipal Platform of Haría, led by the current mayor, José Torres Stinga, will also be presented. A similar agreement has been reached with both formations, which implies that NC will not present a list in those municipalities, while these parties will ask for their support for the formation of Román Rodríguez to the Cabildo and the Parliament.
