The Tinajo Renewal Movement (MRT) demands that the municipal government led by Jesús Machín "stop wasting public money and dedicate itself to solving the real problems of the municipality." In particular, they request "the urgent rehabilitation of the sports courts in the different towns of Tinajo, which are currently in a state of complete neglect."
"It's incomprehensible that Jesús Machín boasts that Tinajo is a leading municipality when the reality is different: dilapidated sports courts, the visor for the football field stands not even started, and the promise of new changing rooms unfulfilled and without any project," criticizes Antonio Morales.
"From the MRT, we expressly request the Councilor for Sports to take charge and not allow this image of neglect to continue, which deprives residents of enjoying their facilities while they continue with wasteful spending and non-compliance with the law, without any benefit to the citizens," says the MRT spokesperson.
"Jesús Machín, and his government group, are determined to keep Tinajo stuck in the past, while the City Council allocates more than 500,000 euros annually to the salaries of councilors and advisors without carrying out a single important project," denounce the MRT.
"Tinajo was a leading municipality, and unfortunately we have become the opposite due to a listless government, without ideas or enthusiasm. They show that they are neither here nor are they expected. While they have their salaries guaranteed, the abandonment of the municipality is more than evident," Morales insists.
Furthermore, "we don't understand how it's possible that with 2 million euros more in the budget compared to 2023, the municipality's basic services are worse today and there is no maintenance of the sports courts. This shows that the governing group is a poor manager and that it spends money on unnecessary issues that do not benefit the residents," lament the MRT.
"This situation is unacceptable. We demand accountability in the management of public resources and immediate solutions to dignify sports facilities, because Tinajo cannot continue to be abandoned due to a government without enthusiasm, without a project, and without ideas," concludes the President of the MRT.
