Every Sunday since its reopening on November 8, and presenting a new design and distribution of stalls according to the antiCovid security protocol, the Teguise Villa Market has been increasing the number of visitors.

During four calls, and except for the cancellation on Sunday the 29th, forced by the threat of a subtropical storm, the Plaza de La Mareta de la Villa has received a total of 11,254 people, who have respected the indications of the Security Forces and Corps and the Emergency and Civil Protection personnel of Lanzarote, following the access rules and interpersonal distance.

In addition to the positive data on the number of visitors to the Market, which has been improving every Sunday, from the area that organizes this traditional market -which suffered the consequences of the pandemic and its consequent closure-, they have pointed out that more and more vendors are joining the event, reaching 95 stalls out of the 138 available.

"The objective is to accommodate the maximum number of stalls possible, as long as the regulations are complied with, and to be able to recover attendance figures that make the installation profitable for the merchants themselves," said Eugenio Robayna as head of the department, also highlighting "the commercial and restaurant revitalization of the Historic Site of the Villa, which thanks to the launch of the Market has regained a lot of life in each event."

Of the 95 stalls that will open this Sunday, December 13, 58 are for the sale of general and varied items, another 23 for handicrafts and 7 for food, plus the 7 that correspond to Social Emergency.
