Migdalia Machín: “The organization has never asked Pedro San Ginés to step aside”

The general secretary of CC in Lanzarote, Migdalia Machín, stated this Tuesday on Radio Lanzarote-Onda Cero that “the organization has never asked Pedro San Ginés to step aside”, at this moment when the CC-PNC spokesperson in the Cabildo of Lanzarote is immersed in a judicial investigation for which he is charged with several crimes.

“For us, he is still one more of the organization's politicians. I know it is not a comfortable situation for him, everything he is experiencing. But he still has the confidence of the party until… obviously we will see how it turns out. But come on, he has the confidence of the organization. The debate is more in the media, on the street, than in the organization itself,” says Machín.

Regarding the fact that there are voices from the party that are asking San Ginés to step aside so as not to harm the formation in different private circles, the secretary assures that it is a gesture of “cowardice”. “If you are brave enough to say it outside the bodies, then have the courage to say it where you have to say it,” Machín criticizes. “We all know that there are people who say things directly and absolutely nothing happens. That is, we have had it in the Political Council and absolutely nothing happens. I accept that you say it in the meeting.
