Migdalia Machín responds to Evelia García: “If that is going to be the attitude of the PMH, we will see what happens”

The general secretary of the Canarian Coalition considers it a "lack of respect" that she learned of the decision not to delegate powers to Armando Bonilla through Radio Lanzarote

The general secretary of the Canarian Coalition, Migdalia Machín, has responded to the statements of Evelia García on Radio Lanzarote, in which she stated that "she will not delegate powers to Armando Bonilla" considering that it is "a lack of respect" that she learned through the interview in the media, and not through a communication from the councilor herself.

“I'm finding out right now, I don't know anything”. This has been the first reaction of Migdalia Machín to the question of what she thought of Evelia García's decision, after taking office this Tuesday as mayor of Haría. The general secretary of the nationalists considers that this type of information “should not be said in a media outlet”, and reiterates that it is “a tremendous lack of respect”.

Migdalia Machín has announced that she will meet with the Local Committee of CC in Haría to assess the statements of Evelia García.“If that is going to be the attitude of the PMH, we will see what happens”, assures the general secretary.

“The whole day yesterday has passed, and if the PMH has considered this, the least it can do is communicate it. I want to hold on to the fact that it is inexperience, and the nerves of the moment”, asserts Migdalia Machín.

In addition, the general secretary of CC recalls that between both formations “there is an agreement of signed areas”, in which after the change in the mayor's office, “all remain the same except for Finance”. “You can be mayor, but you have to be careful with who is going to govern, and if you don't agree, you should have commented on it before”, she adds.

“I can understand that she has just assumed the position and is in a kind of cloud, but you have to govern”, adds Machín, who recognizes that “no pact is easy”, and that everything depends on “the will of the parties”.

In addition, although Evelia García has indicated that she did not know the reason why Armando Bonila had been absent from the investiture Plenary, Migdalia Machíin assures that she knew that the councilor “had a personal issue”, for which he was going to be absent.
