María Teresa Lorenzo will be the head of the Canary Islands Government office in Madrid, according to La Provincia. A position that the President of the Government of the Canary Islands, Fernando Clavijo, has proposed to Lorenzo after she resigned this week from her position as head of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports.

In statements to La Voz de Lanzarote, María Teresa Lorenzo has been more cautious, assuring that there is still "the decree to be signed by the president", so it could be confirmed that she accepts this position in the capital from this Thursday. Likewise, the member of CC in Lanzarote has preferred not to make statements "until everything passes a little".

It should be remembered that Lorenzo's dismissal came after the controversy surrounding her management of the last International Music Festival of the Canary Islands. Thus, as of this Tuesday, the Ministry of Tourism is managed by the also nationalist from Lanzarote, Isaac Castellano San Ginés.
