The PSOE of Teguise presented in the teleclub of Nazaret the team with which it will compete in the local elections of May 28. With an important attendance of colleagues, supporters and neighbors, who wanted to support the candidacy headed by Marcos Bergaz, the message was clear: "The change and leadership that Teguise needs goes through the PSOE."

Loli Corujo spoke at the event, referring to MBergaz's candidacy as "a team with desire, with drive, with enthusiasm and, above all, with socialist values."

"I want to publicly acknowledge the generosity and courage of Marcos who assumed, since the last elections, the leadership of this group in moments in which nobody could foresee the excellent result that we later obtained, a result that we are now going to improve, putting an end to decades of bad governments in Teguise," said Loli Corujo.

The PSOE candidate predicted that "there are still 24 days for the polls to confirm that change has arrived in Teguise, but I assure you that this change is going to happen because the people of this municipality are asking and demanding a change and it will happen with Marcos Bergaz and the Socialist Party."

Corujo finished her speech with a solemn promise: "Marcos, you will have me on your side, you will have the Cabildo of Lanzarote on your side and you will have the total support of Ángel Víctor Torres and the Government of the Canary Islands."

"The PSOE presents itself as the real, moderate and possible alternative"

Next, Marcos Bergaz took the floor, who stressed that, in the next appointment with the polls, "the PSOE presents itself as the real, moderate and possible alternative to the fourteen years of uninterrupted government of the Canarian Coalition in a municipality that has lost leadership and opportunities throughout this mandate."

"During these four years in the opposition we have worked with rigor, seriousness and firmness, proposing more than 150 initiatives to improve the municipality, but also denouncing the inaction of the current municipal government in fundamental issues such as cleaning, gardens, beautification of the towns, investments, planning, etc.," said Bergaz.

In addition, "we want to win the elections well, to govern for everyone, without distinction, and do more things for the welfare of the citizens," claimed the socialist leader.

To this end, he "called for citizen participation on 28M, so that more than 6,000 people do not opt for abstention as happened in 2019, but for the change that the PSOE represents in Teguise and the opportunity to replace the abandonment of many towns by the current government of the Canarian Coalition, for a future of hope, action and leadership," he encouraged from the podium.

"I invite you to go to the polls, to do it with care and awareness, because each person has in their hand to change things in Teguise, and each neighbor should count in this municipality, regardless of their origin, ideology or town in which they reside."

To conclude, he pointed out that his team "presents itself with the endorsement of the work done, with a roadmap for the next four years and the certainty that change will be good for Teguise and La Graciosa."

The socialist list to the City Council of Teguise and La Graciosa is led by Marcos Bergaz, together with Jenifer Galán, Benito Rodríguez, Judith Fontes, Tana Reyes, Ángela Cañaveras, David Asorey, Sabina Vizcaíno, Iván Felipe, Delia Hernández, Jaime Guerra, Noelia Umpiérrez, Orlando Duque, Isabel Martín, Matías García Guadalupe, Rocío Arredondo, Rubén Cejudo, María Ángeles Toledo Hernández, Benjamín Machín, Mari Nieves Duque, Jesús García, Blanca López Fajardo and Luis Bonilla.
