The PP is now seeking the support of Podemos to present a motion of censure in Arrecife against the socialist Eva de Anta, to make Ástrid Pérez mayor. And for this, they have already sounded out one of their councilors in the capital, Leticia Padilla, who has confirmed on Radio Lanzarote-Onda Cero that she had a "meeting" with the popular councilor Dácil Garcias, in which she made the offer. The agreement would include PP and CC, but they would need the support of three more councilors to achieve a sufficient majority. Two could be the councilors of the PIL, but a third would still be needed. Therefore, after trying - so far without success - with Ciudadanos, the PP would now be seeking the support of Podemos.

"I see it as completely unfeasible," Padilla has stated. The councilor of Ganemos - an instrumental party belonging to Podemos - has emphasized, however, that it is her "personal opinion", pointing out that "there are party policies." But in any case, she sees it as "very difficult" for them to join forces with the PP. "We have a completely opposite, different policy. Although in municipal aspects we can find more points in common, it is very difficult to reach an agreement with the PP. I see it as almost impossible personally," she has stated.

According to Leticia Padilla, the only thing the PP councilor conveyed to her is that they should "think about" whether they are interested in participating in a motion of censure, without a more concrete proposal, that is, it was not detailed whether Ganemos would enter the government or the support would be limited to signing the motion to remove Eva de Anta from the Mayor's Office. "There has been no proposal. It was, think about it, and if you are interested in talking about something more serious, we will sit down to talk again, but they know it is very difficult," she specified.

"Personally, I get along very well with some PP officials, but in general, the PP has nothing to do with our party, and even less in a joint motion of censure. I see it as completely unfeasible," insisted the Podemos councilor in the capital, who pointed out that, although she will convey the proposal to her party colleagues, she prefers to remain "in the opposition."

"If the PP enters with CC, what will change?"

Leticia Padilla believes that a motion of censure would not do any good to Arrecife and asks herself "what will change" if the PP enters with CC, "which is currently leading the city adrift." "The councilorships that are not currently paying suppliers do not belong to the PSOE, but to CC. So, what will change? How many months will it take for the City Council to start up again and regain balance? I sometimes prefer to continue little by little fighting with what there is and finish the legislature as it is than to cause a worse paralysis due to a motion of censure, but this is my own opinion," the councilor stated.

Furthermore, the Ganemos councilor in Arrecife "does not" think it is correct to "put the City Council in the bag" to give stability to the Cabildo, where CC has been governing in minority after the rupture of the pact with the PSOE. "It seems to me to put a city that is already chaotic in a mess, a management that is already difficult to advance, and I think it would be a greater paralysis. So, I look with fear at what may happen in the Cabildo, because the Social Services of this city cannot afford a new change," she stated.

In addition, Padilla believes that "Pedro San Ginés cannot continue to be president of the Cabildo right now," although she recognizes that any pact "is very complicated." "Those who get along do not have the numbers, only those who cannot get along could add up," specified the Podemos councilor, who concluded by pointing out that "the situation of the Cabildo is quite complicated and the only culprit is Pedro San Ginés, who could have done things better, worked legally, done them better and a more correct government, and all he has done is mess up from the beginning."
