The Primary Care Directorate of the Lanzarote Health Area, attached to the Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands, informs that the Playa Honda Health Center will temporarily modify its in-person service hours as a consequence of the excavation work that the San Bartolomé City Council is carrying out on the plot where the center is located.
Starting Monday, December 15, in-person patient care will be provided between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM and between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM. During the interval between 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM, the clinic team will handle telephone consultations and provide in-person care exclusively for urgent cases.
This measure is adopted after confirming the high level of noise and vibrations generated by the construction work within the clinic, which makes it impossible to carry out healthcare activities normally during certain time slots.
Likewise, the decision is made after the Director of the Lanzarote Health Area, Erasmo García, and the Manager of Health Services, Pablo Eguia, requested and held a meeting with the officials of the San Bartolomé City Council last Tuesday to seek solutions that guarantee the safety and well-being of both the staff and the users of the health center
The new schedule will remain in effect until the completion of the current excavation phase, which according to the municipal corporation is expected to take approximately four weeks.
