The Public Works area of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, directed by Vice President Jacobo Medina, announces the award of the drafting of the landscape improvement project for the surroundings of the César Manrique Airport, in Lanzarote.

Medina assures that this project "will mark a before and after in the image of the island." "We set ourselves the main objective of improving and beautifying our territory, and it was an obligation to start this project as soon as possible at the entrance and exit of the thousands of people who pass through the island's aerodrome every day," he adds.

Likewise, this beautification plan also concerns the LZ-2, a highway that connects the capital with the south of the island, through which thousands of vehicles pass every day.

Public Works has awarded, through a simplified open procedure, the drafting of this project to Maximiliano Valero Padilla, who will be in charge of carrying out said design for the improvement and beautification of the airport environment.

"We firmly believe that Lanzarote should be a showcase of visual beauty, and for this we trust in this type of project that will completely transform the image we now have in many points of the island's geography," says the vice president.

In this way, the Public Works area continues with the plan to improve and rebuild the island's economy through public investment, also resolving the major deficiencies in terms of landscape and island image in the surroundings of the island's roads.
