Pedro Sánchez will visit Lanzarote again next week to spend his holidays, according to sources involved in the preparations, both in Madrid and in the Canary Islands. The president and his family will stay at the Royal Residence of La Mareta for the next two weeks, a few days in which he will be able to rest after the celebration of the General Elections on July 23. A holiday date that will coincide with the celebration of the constitutive session of the Courts, which will take place on August 17, the day on which the chambers will meet.
These 2023 holidays are not the only ones that Pedro Sánchez has spent in Lanzarote. It is common for the president to choose the island as a place to relax on his holidays. He already did so in August 2020, the first summer of the coronavirus pandemic, and also in August 2022. In addition, the last time Sánchez was seen in Lanzarote was during the Spanish-Portuguese Summit, held on March 15.
During his stays on the island, Sánchez visited several places, including: the Mountains of Fire and the Timanfaya National Park.
Royal Residence of La Mareta
A luxurious complex officially owned by the Spanish Royal Family and which has been used by members of the royalty on different visits to Lanzarote. The property, with a design that reflects the artistic influence of César Manrique, is located next to the sea.
