The Extraordinary Assembly of the Popular Party of Tías has designated this Friday Kiko Aparicio as the new president of the local committee of the municipality, thus taking over from Pancho Hernández, who has been in charge of leading the populars for the last twenty years.
This circumstance has marked the development of an assembly that has been full of "emotion and recognition of the good work developed under the presidency of Hernández." A fact that Kiko Aparicio wanted to value by pointing out that "the PP of Tias has become an island reference, a party with the capacity to excite the neighbors, which has managed to win the municipal elections on three consecutive occasions and that today has the greatest popular support."
"All these achievements, which at times seemed impossible, are precisely what gives us strength and reasons to continue. The residents of Tías need us and we are not going to fail them," said Kiko Aparicio. "Those who know me know that I don't back down, that where there is a problem I am always there to try to solve it and that is how we are going to continue, working to get the Popular Party back into government."
A purpose that was also expressed by the outgoing president, asking for the personal commitment of each and every one of the members of the new committee and of the affiliates to the PP project "because that will be a guarantee for triumph." Pancho Hernández showed his confidence in the new president and thanked each and every one of his colleagues for the support they have offered him during these years, pointing out that "the success of the PP of Tias has not been a particular achievement but the result of the personal sacrifice of each member of the team."
In a speech full of expressions of generosity towards his colleagues, Pancho Hernández expressed his gratitude to the island president, Astrid Pérez, "from whom I have always had her unconditional support."
A feeling that Astrid Pérez also shared when recalling that it was precisely Pancho Hernández who encouraged her to run for the presidency of the party for the first time. "It has been almost 21 years of much sacrifice, of good and bad times, in which you have always proven to be a great president and a great person."
A trajectory that the party wanted to recognize today with the appointment, at the proposal of the president and unanimously by the Board of Directors, of Pancho Hernández as Honorary President of the Popular Party of Tias.
On the other hand, Astrid Pérez showed total support to the new team and its president, Kiko Aparicio, of whom she said "he is a hard-working, honest and loyal person, who has nothing to prove because he has already demonstrated it in all these years, from the day he joined the project. That is why I have no doubt that he is the right person to ensure that in 2023 the Popular Party wins in Tías with an absolute majority."
