Peñas has stressed that Izquierda Unida is an organization to which he feels "very close, sympathetic and voter", one of the main reasons why he has chosen to join the party. Another reason that prompted him to abandon his position in Podemos was due to "a lack of connection" within the party, he stressed.

A political stage that for him has ended in a conciliatory manner. "I left giving each other a hug and wishing each other the best," he added. A farewell in which he has chosen to bring out the positive side of his career. "I have preferred to keep the good, although there has been a human capital that has not been managed as it should," he added.

From his position as spokesperson for the party, he has revealed that they are participating "very actively" in the Sumar platform, given that they are "immersed in the process of creation and consolidation" of Sumar territorially, he informed before the radio microphones.

Everything ready for the Europeans

After his recent incorporation as spokesperson for the leftist party, he has made clear the line of work that they are beginning to prepare for the European elections on June 9. His goal is to "fight for the working class and put one more ballot in those tables of the European elections," he told listeners.

In relation to his candidacy, Peñas did not want to stop commenting on the percentage of connection that exists with Lanzarote and La Graciosa. 65 or 70% of the regulations are direct transpositions of European directives, he specified. "The day-to-day issues of the citizens of both islands are what is being cooked in Europe," he stressed.

The politician has stressed the importance of "combating the ideas of the extreme right and also the more traditional right and social democratic parties", especially those in charge of "copying speeches and assuming the fear of immigration, going back in the fight of feminism", among other issues that affect Spanish society, he made clear.

With everything explained above by Peñas, the politician anticipates the current initiatives of Sumar for the European elections on 9J. "The party puts a program of events to support the candidacy, which does not end that day," he said.

In addition, he concludes by highlighting some of the initiatives that the party has prepared for Lanzarote and La Graciosa. "We are in the process of listening to social movements and neighborhood groups to detect the problems and transfer them to the institutions."
