The spokesperson for Primero Teguise in the City Council, Jonás Álvarez, has pointed out that "the end of the year is as disappointing as the beginning of the new one, as the municipality remains in a state of abandonment, suffering the neglect of the current government group."
In this line, the party has taken stock of the first months of the legislature and the beginning of the new year 2024. “We are still without a cultural plan, which should have been active since October; sports courts in a deplorable state, playgrounds that continue to suffer neglect, socio-cultural centers and public infrastructures offering an image of abandonment; parks and gardens that continue to give the same appearance, and our municipality still fails to regain flight in management and image as one of the most important municipalities in the Canary Islands,” says Álvarez.
Primero Teguise denounces that "no solution is being given to the problems of the municipality, since CC, PP and Vox are not capable of managing the demands of the residents themselves and only act based on the work and complaints of the opposition, to whom, on countless occasions, the residents turn to make their complaints heard."
Thus, they add that since the beginning of the legislature, the councilors of the government group always add "we are working on it, but the truth is that six months have already passed and it is not that no improvements have been seen, it is that the problems have increased without seeing any solution," he pointed out. "It is patched up and does not advance, it does not improve," they say from the municipal formation.
“Our municipality remains mired in neglect due to the lack of focus on the management of Teguise and on charting a course for it. And the ineffectiveness, arrogance and inaction is the tonic that dominates this beginning of the year,” concludes Jonás Álvarez.
