The candidate for mayor of San Bartolomé for the Popular Party, Jeziel Martín, presented last Thursday night the group of men and women that make up the candidacy of the PP and did so “deeply proud” and highlighting “the value of each of the members whose sum results in a winning team and ready to govern.”

“One that combines experience and youth, of close people who know very well the problems and the reality of the San Bartolomé that is behind the photos and the propaganda of the socialist government,” he said.

For the candidate, these four years have turned out to be “a lost opportunity because, in addition to having an absolute majority, they have had the luck that any mayor would want: to have the Cabildo, the Government of the Canary Islands and the Government of the State with the same color; and they have wasted this time, missing the opportunity to grow, improve and modernize the municipality,” he acknowledges.

“They told us that in this term we would have a family respite center and it is still not in operation; they promised us that Playa Honda would be 100% accessible and we still do not have sidewalks on many streets; they sold a new location for the funeral home and it is still in the same place; they were going to solve the problem of access and the situation is the same,” he says. And as if that were not enough, “now we have lost the 24-hour emergency service,” explained the candidate.

Jeziel Martín dedicated himself to announcing “the proposals that are included in his government program, among which are the reduction of the tax burden on residents, the strengthening of citizen security, guaranteeing accessibility and mobility in the center of Playa Honda”, among others such as “the construction of the municipal sports hall, the creation of a specific program for young people, the launch of different municipal schools, such as folklore, or the construction of a multi-purpose building.”

Therefore, “it is, in short, about all of us making the lives of our neighbors happier,” concluded the candidate.

The event included the intervention of Jacobo Medina, who pointed out “the lost opportunity that this term has been in terms of investments in the municipality of San Bartolomé”. “In the end, it was the PP that saved the local government’s furniture”, through “the various works carried out during his time in the Island Government”, he affirms.

“Jeziel Martín is the mayor that the residents of San Bartolomé deserve”

For her part, Astrid Pérez stated that “Jeziel Martín is the mayor that the residents of San Bartolomé deserve” because he is a person “close, rigorous and professional in his work, empathetic, with a lot of social involvement and a sure political value”, also highlighting “the good role that I am sure he will also play as a regional deputy, defending the interests of the residents of the municipality and the island”.
