The General Assembly of Coalición Canaria in Tinajo has endorsed the candidacy proposal presented by the current mayor, Jesús Machín, who will appear as head of the list for the nationalist formation in the municipal elections of May 2015.

In a vote that took place this Tuesday in Mancha Blanca, and in which all members of the Local Committee of Coalición Canaria in that municipality could participate, Machín's proposal obtained 37 votes in favor. No votes against were counted and there was one abstention. Machín's candidacy must now be ratified by the Insular Political Committee, which is expected to do so in February.

Jesús Machín wanted to thank, in his speech, the trust placed by the members of Coalición Canaria in him to continue with the municipality project that he has led for Tinajo, renewing the enthusiasm to work alongside the residents.

In addition, the current mayor was supported at this event by the remaining candidates already appointed throughout the island. The president of the council, Pedro San Ginés, who will head the list for the first island institution in 2015; the mayor of Teguise, Oswaldo Betancort, who has already been designated for re-election; and Ángel Domínguez, who aspires to become the next mayor of Yaiza, wanted to accompany the nationalist members of Tinajo in this event.
