The Department of Public Works and Services of the Haría City Council increases the frequency of the urban solid waste collection service, which is now daily and permanent, also including Sundays and holidays.
The area's councilor, Ambrosio Viñoly, states that "the implementation of this important service responds not only to the commitment of this City Council to improve public services and the quality of life of our residents, but also to a citizen demand that required garbage collection in the municipality to be from Monday to Sunday, every day of the year, thus achieving greater cleanliness and care in our own streets."
Viñoly adds that "it is extremely important to highlight that we continue to provide a direct urban waste collection service, that is, with the City Council's own means and personnel, a milestone that currently means that this basic service is better and more efficient."
Likewise, the councilor announces that the Haría City Council will soon launch other measures aimed at directly improving the services and maintenance and cleaning in the municipality.
Works on the Punta Mujeres court are completed
On the other hand, the Department of Public Works also highlights the completion of the improvement and pavement change works on the Punta Mujeres sports court, located in the El Marinero Sociocultural Center. The works have also allowed the new fencing of the court to improve the safety of users.
The Government group states that "these works, which have involved an investment of more than 80,000 euros financed through the Municipal Cooperation Plan of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, have allowed the improvement and adaptation of this sports court, which is now open again for the use and enjoyment of all residents."
