The Haría Town Council will launch a project to modernize and improve the facilities of the municipal market. In addition, the image will also be modernized, the space where it is held will be enlarged, and the number of stalls will be increased. To this end, a public procedure has been opened to proceed with the purchase of the necessary material to carry out the works.
The budget amounts to 273,889 euros to offer a "suitable and attractive space for merchants and visitors, thus boosting the local economy." In this way, 120 PVC tents and tables will be acquired for the sales stands.
The mayor of the municipality, Alfredo Villalba, comments that "this initiative will allow the municipal market not only to have a more modern and professional appearance, but also to be more functional and comfortable for all the people who visit it every Saturday."
Through this project, "the market will be expanded by 60 stalls and 2,000 square meters more, which will be added to the current stalls and 2,300 square meters of surface area," says the mayor.
Alfredo Villalba explains that the objective of the City Council is to "reinforce the role that the Haría craft market already plays as an activity that boosts the local economy," he says. In addition, he assures that this initiative seeks to promote tourism in the town.
