The streets of Haría celebrated this Friday the great Inclusive Island Coso, which was attended by numerous schools from all over the Island.
The Deputy Mayor and Councilor for Social Welfare of the Haría City Council, Chaxirari Niz, was very satisfied with “the good reception and the success of this very special coso, in which hundreds of students and other members of the island's educational community have participated and who have turned this parade, one more year, into a benchmark for participation and inclusion both on our island and abroad”.
During the celebration of this coso, which started from the vicinity of the IES Haría and ended in the Plaza, the diversity and participation of all people, regardless of their physical, mental, social or cultural condition, were valued.
In this sense, the Councilor for Education, Paula Montero, points out that “thanks to this event we have managed to create a space in which all the participants could feel welcome and enjoyed a carnival free of discrimination.”
Montero highlights that this year “we have enjoyed, once again, this very special coso for our municipality with the collaboration of numerous educational centers from all over the Island and also with the participation of the Enclave Classrooms. And from our area, we are very happy for the tremendous success that this meeting has achieved.”
For his part, the mayor of Haría, Alfredo Villalba, has congratulated the councilorships of Social Welfare and Education “for the good work done”, while thanking “the involvement of the entire educational community with this Inclusive Coso that has had a great reception, becoming a unique opportunity to raise awareness among the population about the richness that diversity brings us and the importance of the inclusion of each and every person.”
