The Haría City Council, at the request of the mayor, Alfredo Villalba, has formalized a request to Canal Gestión and the Lanzarote Water Consortium for them to end the water supply cuts in the municipality "immediately".

This request aims to normalize the service, so basic for the citizenry, and especially that the supply of drinking water be guaranteed during February 26, 27 and 28 and March 1, 2026, due to the carnival celebration, with the aim of adequately covering public health needs in a context of high influx of residents and visitors.

Alfredo Villalba emphasizes that these festivities imply an increase in the demand for basic services, especially water supply, due to the massive concentration of people in the different scheduled events.

“We are talking about a basic service that cannot fail, the citizens of Haría cannot continue to endure constant interruptions in the water supply. It is a matter of responsibility and respect towards our residents,” points out the mayor.

From the City Council, the request to cease cuts and guarantee water during these carnival days has been formally conveyed, which now have special relevance for public health reasons due to the carnival celebration, in order to meet the growing demand and avoid any situation that could compromise public health or the normal development of the festivities.
