The Haría City Council held a meeting with the Cabildo of Lanzarote this past Wednesday to coordinate the start of the integral remodeling of the LZ-10 road, a section known as the Malpaso Valley. In addition, the preparation of the project for the improvement of the LZ-207, corresponding to the Tabayesco road, was also confirmed.
The Island Corporation reported that it is already working on drafting the technical project necessary to execute the actions on the two roads.
The mayor of Haría, Alfredo Villalba, pointed out that "these works are essential for improving the infrastructure and connectivity of the municipality." He also thanked the Cabildo for its willingness to carry out these works as soon as possible.
For his part, the Councilor of the Technical Office, José Torres, stressed that the drafting of these projects "is a key step forward to guarantee safety on these roads, in addition to responding to neighborhood demands."
Finally, during the meeting, the Island Council pledged to study compensation measures to cope with the cost overrun of transport linked to agricultural work in the mountains of Haría.
