The national deputy secretary of Territorial Policy of the Popular Party, Antonio González Terol, participated this Monday in Lanzarote in a meeting with representatives of small and medium-sized businesses on the island in a visit in which he was accompanied by the regional president, Australia Navarro, the island leader and mayor of Arrecife, Astrid Pérez, as well as the candidates for Congress of Deputies for the province of Las Palmas and the Senate for the Lanzarote constituency, Guillermo Mariscal, Francisco Cabrera and Joel Delgado, respectively.

The popular representatives on the island defended the tax cuts proposed by the formation led by Pablo Casado and also questioned that the measures proposed by the Sánchez Government to deal with the bankruptcy of Thomas Cook are "insufficient".

Visit of González Terol to Lanzarote

For González Terol, the Popular Party is doing "very well its job on the island" and highlighted the management carried out in these four months by Astrid Pérez in Arrecife, "which have allowed, for example, the transfer of land to the Government of the Canary Islands for the construction of social housing, or the management in the Cabildo by unblocking the Congress Palace".

In addition to the meeting with officials of the Chamber of Commerce of Lanzarote, the Popular representatives had the opportunity to walk through the capital and exchange impressions with the merchants of Calle Real de Arrecife.
